| Deliveries Odds and Sods offer a reasonably priced furniture delivery service to the immediate Chelmsford area, covering an approximate 20 mile radius. We do not mark up a profit on furniture deliveries, aiming only to cover the cost of diesel and the wages of the two members of staff on the van. If you require delivery elsewhere within the UK, you can search eBay for 'Furniture delivery' to find courier services. Our deliveries are guaranteed to your door, so it is always a good idea to measure the entry points to your home prior to purchasing the item, to ensure that your item will fit! That being said, although our delivery staff are on a strict timetable, they will usually be happy to place your item wherever you specify in your home. If an item is likely to be too large to fit through your door we are able to flat pack it for a small fee. Also we can assemble flat packed furniture for a small fee, regardless of whether you bought the furniture from Odds and Sods or elsewhere. Deliveries and flat packing are by prior arrangement only. We never turn up anywhere without a prior appointment, and we aim to deliver within 7 days of purchase. We are able to post smaller items, and we do not mark up a profit on postage and packing, aiming only to cover the cost of packaging and the wages of the member of staff responsible for packing the item. We pack each item very carefully by hand, using recycled industrial packaging, for which we pay a regular donation to the Farleigh Hospice, a local charity. Our post is collected once per week and taken directly to the Chelmsford Mail Centre. IMPORTANT: If you are outside the United Kingdom, please be aware that international delivery costs apply. We cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged in transit, and we keep records of all items we post. If you wish to insure your delivery, please contact us (remember to quote the item number and delivery address) for an insured delivery price. We deliver internationally only by airmail, and we deliver within the UK by First Class post or Standard Parcels only. Please note that we cannot haggle over postage prices and that the price quoted is an estimate based on the Price Calculator at www.royalmail.co.uk, and as such may be subject to change.
